i got a hold of X&Y last week and although i only heard the last 4 songs, they really didnt sound very good......ive loed coldplay since 1999 and was really hoping this would be as good as the last 2 but after hearing those 4 songs, it doesnt seem like it will be.
they just sounded like they could be b-sides to ROBTTH singles.

The only song I've heard from X&Y is "Fix You," and I must say that I think that song is awesome.
I'm interested to hear the reviews of others on the rest of the album. EatChex, how much did it cost to purchase the album through iTunes?

i saw coldplay in detroit a few years ago and it was a memorable concert.
i'd LOVE to see them again.

$11.36 for me i believe.. but i pre-ordered it because i got 3 bonus tracks and a video interview with them
but i would spend $20 on this cd it's so good. my favorite song is Fix You.. ive listened to that a TON!

You were there at that show? Do you remember the song Proof they played? It's on the speed of sound b-sides. Really nice song.
I always feel Coldplay albums gets a dispropotionate amount of sappy and love-themed songs in them. Some of the more interesting songs like Animals, murder are thrown as b-sides (prob. don't want the Coldplay audience to get offended or something).
But, advice to all Coldplay fans, seek out the b-sides.

Coldplay sucks.. extremely over-rated. They sound like a watered down version of Radiohead to me.

Downloaded Coldplay-X_and_Y-2005-uF today, since u guys are all talkig about it for way too long, and I must tell you, I usually like very select rock, and this album is DA BOMB! Mad 5 stars for Coldplay!
