If you went to a decent school than this new SAT should be easier. Remeber, your writing section is being judged against all the students from the worst schools in the country. You'll do fine.

Since we're bragging. 1370 = 650math 720verbal

1200 isn't too shabby. I made a 1250 the first time around, retook it 6 months later after studying some word smart books and did much better.

First time (no breakfast, 5 hrs sleep before)
Critical Reading 770
Math 650

Second time (no breakfast, at least got some sleep)
Critical Reading 790
Math 630

So a pair of 1420's... 1440 combined. I like my verbal, though D

Just relax and do it.

My score was 720 math + 780 verbal = 1500, first try. Probably could have done better on the second try.

It's not that hard...

hamster989

04-06-2005 16:39:07

ACT Total 33

Math 33
English 33
Reading 33
Science 33

Now that's well-rounded!

PS - If you're looking to go to an amazing school and you have damn good grades/test scores, think University of Michigan. GO BLUE!

EatChex89

I don't think it matters too much as long as you don't fail out of that. A few people I went to school with went to community college and just transfered normal 4 year schools after a year or two. You'll save a ton of money and hopefully wind up in a regular school anyway so don't feel too stupid.

If I had to do it all over again I would have taken all my core classes at a community college before I went to a 4 year university. You'll save so much money.

back when i graduated HS 1200 was the "magic number" that colleges were looking for. In otherwords, you get 1200 and decent grades in HS, you get into most colleges.

I had C+'s and low B's in HS , 1180 on SAT, and i got into WVU, Hartford, Pitt, UK, and Desquane.

I chose WVU.....GO MOUNTAINEERS!

not to mention you get the degree from the 4year univ. not the community college. PLUS the community college classes are always easier.
