This Sucks

Today I got my wisdom teeth taken out my mouth hurts so bad. I can barely open it. Who else has been through this? I'm on painkillers but they aren't working. It sucks.

Smoke some weed..somehow..to your brain, i dunno or just take lots of sleeping pills and pass out maybe?

I remember when I had that. I had all 4 removed. It sucks. Eat icecream and remember to keep shit out of the sockets.

You're a brave one.. I'll have to get mine out eventually (Im only 18 ) but Im dreading that day.

Just relax, take your painkillers, drink cold beverages and rest. I know when I get mine out I'm not even going to worry about forums and internet life for a few days, heh.

had mine out when i was 14... vikaden and nitrous oxide.... good times...

yea, keep taking the pain killers, always ice your face, lie down and rest, and for the love of god make sure nothing gets in the sockets

After I got mine taken out (the doctor only used 2 shots!) he forgot to write a pres for pain killers, and when my mom went back to get it he went on vacation so I couldnt get it! 3 Days of hell, at one point my mom said I was yelling "KILL ME" because it was so painful. For about a week after i had a huge green bruise on the side of my face, wasn't good times...
edit oh yeah after I went back, it turns out the doctor forgot to call me back to take out sticthes, and so the rope was joined with my gums. And thats not the worst, there were still fragments of the tooth left that had to be taken out. I should've sued that fucker.

clerick sorry to hear that. my surgery went nice and smooth... only took a week to heal, no bruising

i was only in true pain for about 10 minutes, waiting for my first dose of vikaden to kick in

This happened when i was 15 (we just moved to America from Russia) so it was the only way to get it done. It's a shame I didn't speak english that well, thus not understanding the medical system.

i got a question why do they pull your wisdom teeth out? arent they the ones all the way in the back? i thought they were ur adult teeth?

cause they dont grow in properly for example they come out sideways and not in the proper location causing pain so they must be pulled. mine are growing in fine they are actually about done growing

CoMpFrEaK I moved far away from there, so theres now way and form of contact, oh well.
cdsnboard The teeth can be found both in adults and children (usually adults) and can twist the back of your jaw, causing a chain reaction and upseting the order of your teeth to random (and grow in diff directions).

I had my bottom two taken out a while ago, it was terrible. They were all crooked, so the dentist had to break it into a bunch of little pieces and take them out one by one. He ended up leaving three or four fragments in my mouth.

I had this done a couple years ago and am happy to say the whole thing went off without a hitch. Mostly painless, no bruising or scarring, and quick recovery. My advice is to find a comfortable seat someplace where you can watch a lot of movies, and just make sure to ice it and sleep a lot. Yep, that's what got me through. That and a whole sh!tload of pudding. D

i've never had anything wrong with me... ever. i'm just about the healthiest person around. the worst i've ever had was a slightly broken wrist and get a cavity... and the cavity was in a baby tooth so i had nothing to worry about.

i want surgery so bad... none of my friends had any problems with their wisdom teeth getting taken out. i can't wait to go under the knife.

I got two taken out, still got 2-3 years for the other two. Only sucks for a week. When I came back from the office I was wasted. Its weird, no scars, mouth heals nicely.
