You can get Verizon DSL for $19.99 a month for the first year.
Sprint might also offer a cheap service too, never had any experience with them though.

I believe their standard rate is $34.99/month.
However, if you call during your last month of the one year promotion, and tell them you are going to cancel if they dontextend it another year, they will do it no problem

The only problem I have with DSL is that you have to have your phone line activated in most areas to get DSL service. Right now I'm paying 50 a month for Cable internet and I would love to get the cheaper DSL rates but they won't let me!

When I move I'll probably go for a cable internet / HDTV DVR Cable package if I can get the right deal.

Yahoo/SBC is having a special starting today.

Sign up for a new one year contract and only pay $14.95 a month!

As for an activated phone line, they offer a $5 a month deal (it is unadvertised, so you have to ask for it).

Hope this helps )

I thought Verizon sucked when I had it...

I don't like how you have to login to DSL either...

My mom has Verizon DSL and doesn't have to login. Do you mean everytime you use the internet?

oddly enough i just got a letter from them in the mail with their pricing

35$/month for 5mbit
45$/month for 15mbit
179$/month for 30mbit

for 2$ more a month i could more than triple my speed P

I'm going to cancel my comcast and upgrade to Verizonfios when its in my area. Right now comcast is fiber optics but by the time it gets to your house its coax.
