....so i was told by a guy at work before i quit a couple of weeks ago.....he said its some kind of special promotion that if you pay $15 then you can fill up your entire ipod (i think it was generalising to the 20GB)......it sounded like bullshit to me and ive not seen it advertised anywhere, especially not on here......anyone else hear anything about this or was he full of shit?

Have you seen the advertisment on TV.
It's something like this
itunes + iPod = $10,000
Napster + any mp3 player = $15
Why $10,000 with itunes, because you pay .99 cents for every songs (ipod holds 10,000 songs)
With itunes you pay $15 for unlimiting downloads and you can fill your ipod if youw ant.

Except that the files don't play on your ipod so that isn't true. The Napster to go service only works with certain players (Creative, iRiver, Napster player) They use the new WMA DRM files and iPod doesn't support WMA.
There is no good solution like this for the ipod yet.

also if you use napster you have to keep paying a monthly subscription
if you stop paying your music wont play anymore
just use limewire
you can fill up your whole computer for $0
