How do IP's works on T1 connections?

I had someone sign up and compelte an offer while at an internet cafe.

I've seen some free sites at my internet cafe. So someone may have done the same at his.

My question is, am I at risk for a DQ since he did this at a internet cafe. It has a t1 connection

Signing up at Libraries and Internet Cafe's were always too risky from what I heard in the past. I bet it happens though. Too bad Gratis doesn't take this into account.

Yes, because he would have had to plug into the network of the cafe. Depending on its set up, the cafe most likely uses a router as the internet gateway, the cafe only has one IP address. I am guessing that's how they have it set up, because another way would be a lot more expensive.

In short, you may be screwed if someone has already used that site... but you might also get lucky.

Where was it so I do not try it?

It's completely dependent on the particular place. My school has about 120 workstations on its T1; they all NAT over the same IP. A gaming place by my house has about 20 boxes on a T1; each has a different public IP. I'd say since those cafes generally don't have large margins they probably went with a single IP for cost-effectiveness.

That is cool that the gaming place have multiple IPs... it sucks trying to get a few friends on the same internet game if they are sharing an IP... "Latancy is too high to join..."

Admin, what do you think about my PM?

Doesn't gratis and oc say, have your referrals do it from their home and not in libraries etc. It's in the terms isn't it?

I believe so... so this too can be perceived as evil.
