Do those TV's get ghost effect on them? I was reading an article about big TVs like that..

I think ghost effect as you call it is the product of a slow refresh rate. LCD's have this problem but I don't think Plasmas do.
Unless you mean burn in where the image gets burnt into the screen. This is a problem with Plamas but most plasma tv's have screen savers so this doesn't happen.

you've just got to be more careful with it then you do with another type of tv. don't leave things paused with the tv on and you'll be fine.

Too bad plasmas suck. Go LCDs or DLP they are so much better.

LCD's have horrible picture. But I'll absolutely agree with DLP's.
I personally just bought a 30 inch widescreen HDTV CRT to replace my LCD. I'll be putting the LCD on ebay soon if anyone wants one cheap.

The Phillips one that is selling for so cheap all over the place. I paid 510 shipped online for a refurbished one but you can get a new one at Walmart for like 600. Not bad for an HDTV from a good company.

The Philips 8502 one was selling at their outlet for really cheap but is now gone. I was also looking at the $600 Sanyo one from Walmart, it is supposed to be really good but also often out of stock. LOL looks like we were looking at the same models.
