I'm in the process of printing onto all of my copied Sopranos DVD's to make them look just like the authentic disc. The covers look incredible--the only problem is now I want to make sure they are waterproof.

I know I'm a dumbass, but any help would be appreciated.

Buy some silicone spray? I really have no experience in this area...but it will waterproof your coat!

Well, if you're going to laminate it why not just put it in a ziploc bag and put it in the microwave.

FON, it seems like what I read previously was that guys were using some sort of spray, but I couldn't remember what exactly. May have very well been silicone. I'll give that a shot.

Thanks.

You do realize that you can buy laminant that requires no heat, right? It's the kind of shit that your third grade teacher used in the classroom.

Put the CD on your desk. Put the laminant sheet on top and smooth it out. Use an exacto knife or razor blade to trace the edges.

VOILA!

The above post goes for you also, smart guy.

I'd prefer to do something besides laminating them, as I tend to f up things like that. Hopefully, the silicone spray will do the trick.

I would spray them, if you're going to go that route, before you burn them, or do several very light passes with the spray until you get an even coating. If you get too much on there it will glob up and look shitty.

Also, my obligatory don't be an idiot comment. I hope these DVDs are just backups of ones you already own and you're not trying to sell them on eBay - Warner Home Video is notorious for going after small time sellers to prove a point...

yeah, I'll probably screw up the spraying too, but thanks for the tip.

as for the purpose of these DVDs, fuck no I'm not selling them. they are for personal use only--just kind of a new hobby I've gotten into since I got my new printer.
