Lots of people are saying that Web Certificates are now no longer for personal use. I was wondering where this info came from, because there doesn't appear to be any changes on their website. What has changed regarding webcerts?

For example, their "how it works section" still says Webcertificate is the first and only online gift certificate that can be used to buy virtually anything, anywhere, at anytime on the Web! That's right! There are approximately 1 million places to shop online - and Webcertificate is the ONLY online gift certificate good at virtually every single one of them!

Their Terms of Use were last updated on 10/28/03, so it doesn't look like the changes are mentioned there.

So how are these not for personal use anymore? It just bugs me when people toss that line off without having any sort of proof to back it up.

J4320, maybe you should shut the fuck up. obviously by posting dates from their faq, etc, i did look around, and if such a major policy change was in effect, one would figure that it would be reflected on the home page.

I acknowledged that my question had been answered your comment was completely unneeded.

Well, there is always still Simon Gift Cards and pre-paid Visa/MC cards from your local banks. Sux that you have to leave your house, but most of us on these boards need more time out of the house anyhow.
