I did the napster to go offer because it said you could import the songs onto an mp3 player so I assumed that you could do it with an iPod, boy was I wrong. iTunes won't conver the songs to AAC since they are protected, is there anyway to take the protection off cuz i just downloaded a buttload of songs and want them on my iPod. thanks

You dont need to see the commercials to realize why Napster doesnt have a good relationship with Apple. iTunes is Napsters biggest competition... therefore Napster wants nothing to do with Apple. Although, if their service WAS compatable with iPods, they'd probably be unbeatable, based on the simple fact that the iPod is used much more than any other mp3 player.

ipods are so played out now. by the way cant you just download some software that converts the files into ones that the ipod could play. im sure there is software like that.

i just downloaded the free trial of napster but since i use Allofmp3.com i wont even be using napster......as far as converting music, i use real player....it converts all my music files to whatever i like at whatever rate also.....you have to pay for it though....or at least you're "supposed" to....if you know what i mean wink

Napster is not my favorite...
I believe that you can Burn an audio CD (playable in normal CD players... CD file format) Then from the CD you can import the songs into iTunes.
Otherwise do a search for some freeware on google, Naps have been around long enough for pople to figure out how to get around the protections.

I've uninstalled Napster twice from 2 different computers and I haven't had any problems with it.
