Lets reason this out...

Which sites do you think make OC the most money.

There are low ref sites like ipodshuffle where you can get an $85 prize for 2 refs

There are medium ref sites like pvps4free where you can get $450 for 10 refs

Then there is the grand prize site of notebooks where you can get $1000 for 18 refs.

Now there is a lot to consider when figuring how which makes them more money. Will the general user complete the site? How many friends will they get and how many of those will complete the site.

What do you all think? I'm leaning towards the medium ground ones making them the most money because you probably have a lot of drive if you are going after the high refs ones but if you are going after the medium ones you might not finish? does my logic sound right?

lets assume all users are traders, even though they aren't.

notebooks4free - because you need 18 referrals

BUT - the cost of the item they send you is $1000


For PVPS4free or DVRS4free you need only 10 and the cost of the item is around $400 - 600


So, I don't know

Its the medium range ones which only give you the "winner" $450, $45 a ref. It's their cheapest ratio as compared to notebooks which is around $56 and dvrs and mp3 which are $55. When someone is doing notebooks they either finish it or dont. Its not that hard to get 5 refs for dvrs and mp3, so I can see people not finishing the 10 ref sites, because maybe they thought they could get 10 people, but never could.

thats kind of what i was thinking. i would love to get ahold of a free sites financial records to see what kind of profit they actually make.

just pondering the idea, lets ignore the why for now, it's really not relative.

I think notebooks4free get them the most money. Since it is 18 refs, ppl may think they can do but they can't. They may get like 10 refs and really can't get anymore. Then on a site like that, ppl start to get desperate and do their own referrals allowing them to dq the user even if they did get 18 refs. And people always seem to make duplicate accounts on notebooks so OC get's to dq those refs and make the person get some more. It looks like the average amount of refs a person doing notebooks gets is about 22 or 23.

You make a great point, but if that was the case, would OC have more sites at that level? There is a big jump from 10 refs to 18 and they only have 1 18 ref site.

hmm, I don't know. Maybe they make so much money that another high ref site isn't needed?

DS4free makes them the most money i think. 4 refs for $150 if pretty high. You just need one more fot $275 at mp3s or DVRs
