Anyone have luck returning a ps2 to a retail store?

Yeah, Walmart is getting stricter & stricter. My cousin works at Walmart and she tells be about all of the stupid stuff people do to try and get over.

yea well i was in their managment internship program last summer so i know the system pretty well after dealing with people trying to do exactly what i want to do. Atleast this is unopened! )

I think most large retail stores won't take it back, not even for store credit. Looks like you're gonna have to put it on eBay.

I had a large issue with this when I was trying to exchange my free Nintendo DS. Every store I went to was stonewalling me. I even bought one at Best Buy and go a gift reciept. They matched the serial numbers!

So I called target and gave them a sob story and they hooked me up with an exchange provided it wasn't opened. I think I got lucky. It's getting MUCH harder and harder to do ANYTHING without a reciept!
