to admin/mods I apoligize if it is not my place to be taking such a poll or if the guest feature is definitly not leaving. With that being said, would anyone else like to see this feature disabled?

removed, it would encourage people to register and would stop people from accidentally posting without logging in.

Leave it. A lot of people are too lazy to register to a forum unless they know it's good...

guests should still be able to view the forum, they just can't post.

REMOVED.

With all the PHP coding going on in this place I figured the guest feature would be the first to go.

I suppose I don't look at many posts, but I don't see too many people posting as Guests anyway. The people that do usually just forgot to login. But yeah, still let them view the forums.

FYI

1) Guest feature has always been disabled per policy--they can view, but not post, in all forums (except the hidden moderator one, obviously)

2) When new forums are created their default permissions state is "public" meaning guests can post. When I reshuffled the forums I forgot to set some of the new ones to "Registered". It's fixed now.

3) A simple PM to me would have fixed this much easier than a public poll.
