I found this cool little site with a little flash quiz which shows a picture of the person and then on the site you select if you think he is a programmer inventor or a serial killer. See what score you can get and post here...you'll be surprised.

5/10 also - didn't spend much time "analyzing" the photos - just figured that all the ones who looked "mean" would be programmers, just to try to trick people ;)

That's probably true. The first high level programming language FORTAN was made in the 60s by IBM. So, most of those people are probably researching professors rather than enginners.
Now that computer are everywhere, there are a lot of programming language creation tools. Constructing a programming language is a 1 semester course now in the upper graduate senior Computer Science level.
Of all the pictures, I only recognized Son of Sam.

But, it's not programmers. It's programming language inventors. So, if you don't run away from a programming language inventor, you might be in deeper trouble than you think.
