Vote: Update TR rules to be less strict for high-TR members

Here we go.
The current rule states that if two members enter in to a trade, the one with the lower TR must "go" first; this means green, or send paypal, or mail anthrax, or whatever it is you kids do these days.
The proposed update changes the rule to
If two members enter into a trade and both have TR less than __, the old rule (above) applies.
Otherwise, if both members have a TR greater than __ (duh), the decision of who goes first will be left up to the two traders. If they so choose, they may elect to a random "coin flip" to determine who goes first, but only if both agree.

It is the middle of the night lol. I say keep the old rule, b/c the two traders still aren't gonna agree on that the one with the higher tr goes first. I guess if you have the higher tr, you kind of get the luxury of just sitting back and waiting for green.
I think it could possible be amended so that the 2 have the option of doing the trade at the same time if they trust each other so much.

Erm, what does that say in bold. If equal time = "same time" then it's clearly addressed. Some people are cool with going at the same time and some aren't. Like I said before, I think that if someone has a high tr they get the privlage of deciding how they would like to do the trade. And if they decide that you have to go first and they'd rather not go at the same time, then so be it. Go find another trader if it absolutly bothers you, there's how many members on this site?

I think the old rule is fine the way it is. If you have a lower TR that the person you're trading with then you should go first. That makes sense to me, why mess with it? If I was someone with some ungodly TR of, oh i don't know, 107 then I would feel that I've earned the right for other people to green for me. But maybe I'm old school...

What about an add on to the Trade module that is similar to ebay feedback? Where you could leave comments about a trader, positive negative or neutral. It wouldn't be a requirement but just another reference people could use.
If you added it on to the trade module than you could only do a comment if you were in a confirmed trade. Think it could work?

You're probably right, I can see a lot of "That asshole fucked me over" and "SCAMMER SCAMMER!" just because people don't read the rules correctly.

I don't think there needs to be a rule if both traders have a high tr. There only needs to be rules for noobs so they don't screw things up. If both traders have high TRs they are familiar enough with everything to be able to decide how they want to handle a trade... I don't see a point in having a rule like that.

there is no need for change, current is fine, whats wrong with higher tr going first?

Keep the old rule. I really don't see a point in this new rule.
Asking a person with a higher TR to "flip a coin" to see who goes first would, in my opinion, be insulting.
People work hard for their TRs so they dont have to go first.

i think that if both people are above 15 and are within 5 TR of each other, they should just do "same time" though if someone with 100TR wants to trade with someone 15TR the 100TR person should have the right to request the other person goes first just out of respect...
