Has anyone had any problems with Napster and Gratis crediting? I am waiting on it to credit for over 2 weeks and so is my buddy, Jiglet. Anyone have similar problems?

Napster fucking sucks... The software won't even load on my computer, it worked long enough for me to enter CC info and all but when I go to login it just errors so I cant cancel through the app and now I think I went over my 14 day trial... and I didnt get credit for it either... Bastards.

never got my green on freegamingsystems. had the same errors as jiglet had. just reinstalled it today and was able to get into it long enough to cancel.

screw napster, if you want that kind of service, rhapsody does it better.

I got Napster credit within a day. However, it took me about a month to get credit with Rhapsody. Goes to show you that it's all a matter of luck sometimes.

I did it about 2 weeks ago. Installed it on my computer, even used it daily. Absolutely no credit.

I got credit on gratis for the napster offer in 5 hours. Everyone else I know has gotten credit in 1 day.

I think the major major trick is not to restart the computer after you install Napster. Also, do not close Internet Explorer after you have downloaded the software.

I think the tracking for the completion occurs via a cookie. So, I guess the cookie goes away when you turn off IE (though yeah, cookies can have expiration dates for days afterwards but still ... who knows).

Maybe also you need to turn on accept all cookies. I wouldn't browse the internet with that turned on but maybe it's needed to track since Napster and the advertising publisher are different sites.

Yeah I've had the same problem. I signed up 5/2 and still nothing. I think they took it off Gratis so now I'm assuming no one will get credit.

I didn't restart the comp, though I suppose I may have closed IE (though I don't think I did). I personally put my privacy settings on Low before I did it just to make sure that any cookies it wanted got put on my comp. I dunno.

Its pretty obvious we did nothing wrong but its them who are to blame.

My friend signed up for it last week.
Still no credit.

I'm glad I'm not the only one having problems with Napster on GustoNetwork.

I also have anothe theory about credit. This involves spyware/anti-spyware programs.

1. Spyware - I'm sure there's spyware that hijacks your complete from Gratis and makes their own by subtely changing the cookies. I heard about one that stole amazon comission but maybe there's one out there too. Get an anti-spyware.
BTW, is there a referral stealing spyware around? You know, no matter who's ref link you put up, it hijacks and turns it into a different ref for itself? That would be pretty evil twisted

2. Anti-Spyware - The publishing companies with their interlink of cookies does classify themselves as spyware themselves. So, most anti-spyware program will block their cookie or cgi server. So, in essence it might be blocking your completed offer as well. So, don't run anti-spyware ) Maybe you should empty out your hosts file.

My theory comes from the fact that a friend of mine formatted this computer, put new WinXP and did offers (he didn't do that to do offers but it was a happy conincidence). He got all the credits for the offers he did including Gourmet Coffee. Any comments on this?

Might be the anti-spyware thing -- I've got Spybot Search & Destroy running on my comp.
