I just called customer service to have charge reversed., it turns out that as of today May 10th, webcertificates are no longer for personal use/gift use. Now, they are only for corporate and business use. This is beat for all those without credit cards, maybe now some more scamming kids can take a hike.

This maybe can ensure that offers will stick around due to a higher probability of having valid funding sources.

Good or Bad?

Good - except they locked two of my accounts so I have to have my cousin fax them a utility bill.

Just go to a 7-11 and buy a pre-paid visa... same thing P

Or you can be a decent legit trader and use an actual credit card...

I don't see why you can't be a legit trader w/o using your own credit card. Some of these companys are shady and I can understand how someone may not want there credit card information attached to companies like Hydroderm & Nexiderm. Sometimes

I've only been charged one time, and it was my own fault. Granted, I talked my way out of it - but it was [i7c26882ebd]my[/i7c26882ebd] fault. I've yet to be wrongfully charged, and I've done literally about 100 offers (I have a spreadsheet to prove it ;) )....just remember that if you decide to do so, cancel on time.

True, I have never been wrongfully charged. But I hear all of these horror stories and it scares me lol. Some of the people who were charged, it was probably there own fault and they didn't mention that. But I guess I'm just trying to be safe.

Darn, I was just going to start using them, too. Got charged by Match.com and it was not my fault. I'm a very legit trader and simply wanted to protect my savings.

how can you tell that your accounts are locked? i don't notice anything different when i log in to my account and i can't find any info about this change on the webcertificate site. good thing i'm not doing free sites right now.

I've have been screwed over by lifederma. That's why I use web certs. I still cancel because then they'll keep sending you emails about account troubles.

Bad.

It gives you an error message when you try to login. They froze both accounts, as well as a $25 webcertificate I had sent. I need to fax them (well, have my cousin fax them - no fax machine here) a utility bill now. So gay...I already faxed them my driver license, but the addresses didn't match (long story) so they are being retarded.

I have been charged once after i cancelled with ultraslim. They said they never got my cancalation email, but i have proof i sent it. They should have refunded the money back over a week ago, but i am still fighting them to get it back.

I'm not sure I'm understanding this. So u cannot get a webcertificate and signup for offers w/out cancelling them anymore? ...and not get charged?

Josh

10-05-2005 16:18:48

Just signup for paypal and request a paypal debit card.

Blink182=Gone

could someone answer my question above? I'm going to get a web cert if I can still do offers and not worry about even having to cancel them. thx ^

No reason to have a web cert now, they dont work.

Blink182=Gone

10-05-2005 16:22:01

and why is that? details plz....

Because people like you have been signing up for trials and not cancelling them, thus defrauding the end company.

Blink182=Gone

10-05-2005 16:27:16

actually, I have never even had a web certificate before...I was just thinking about doing that. Um, so would one of those Visa Prepaid Gift Cards work? Can u pay for them using cash or what? Also, could u just use one of those cards and not worry about being charged, too? I'm sick of calling and cancelling - lol.

Yes, but why must you use it? That does nothing but deduct the amount of available offers. Be responsible and use a legit funding source.

I can still use my account on webcertificate.com
