The most simple way I would guess is to get a headphone jack to aux/rca cable, that way you can plug it into your ipod and run the cable to your stereo. Another less-clutter-but-lower-quality way is to get an FM transmitter.

iMonster. Bought mine at Radio Shack. It's awesome.

I wouldn't think that'd be recommended just because it doesn't have the same quality that audio cables have. I can see why you'd use an iTrip vs. an iMonster if you didn't have the audio hook-ups on your stereo, though.

Forget about iTrip (also known as iCrap). The cable above is EXACTLY what u need and is exactly what I have (i'm also considering sticking one in my car's aux jacks and hanging down the 1/8" from the compartment below the stereo for ez iPod hookup)

I already do that, aux in on my head unit in the car. It's great.

great, this is such a cost efficient way to hook up an iPod, it's ridiculous to buy anything else (a crappy iTrip for $40 vs a cable with excellent sound quality for $4-5, ha!).

Although I replaced the mounting bracket when I upgraded from 20gb 4G to 60gb photo.

It was expensive, but I bought this[=http//www.proclipusa.com/?sectionpath=143&pageid=8819&processor=content&pcategoryid=13759&categoryid=14114&p_origin=143&p_sectionid=143&p_pageid=8900&p_processor=asp&p_asp_processor=product&p_action=proclipcategorysearch&p_ppagecategoryid=&p_pagecategoryid=&p_pcategoryid=13759&p_categoryid=14114&p_sitecategoryid=&p_year=]this and mounted it on the right side of the console. Really sleek and sexy.

I went to radioshack and bought the cables and it works great, and while i was there i also bought enough cable to hook my comp up to my stereo for when im listening to music.

? Mine works just fine. I don't have a way to hard wire it to my car having the stock CD player in there. Also, I take my iPod into work, and use it on my radio there, works fine. It would be a pain in the ass for me to constantly be unplugging it to take it everywhere I do. Not to mention I don't have to carry any wires. wink It's also great when you have friends following you bar to bar for instance. Or when you're doing a caravan of cars.

I do agree that the sound quality would be better with cables, but you can't beat the versitility of the iTrip. I guess it depends on what you plan to do with it, and where you want to go.

iTrip works in some cities but not in others. In Dallas/Ft Worth there are no available frequencies for it to work well on. Tried it on my sisters ipod and couldn't get a good signal, even with the itrip next to the car antennae.

For the wires that you just bought Crynos, if you want a mount for it, try the apple ipod dock, it has a headphone output on the back that you can plug that cable into. That way it sits upright, if you care about that sort of thing.

i wish that i could hardwire my ipod into my car...but i dont want to replace the factory indash 6 disc changer....plus its a weird shape and any pioneer or kenwood receiver would look silly...

i agree with the itrip...it is crap...i have the imonster...which works well plus it charges the ipod as well

glad to see that its working for you....

It probably does help that I live in a small town with only about 6 major radio stations. Tons of static out there for me to choose from!
