I am currently processing on both freeipods and freephotoipods. I am only going to keep 1 of the ipods, the other will be sold to a friend or on ebay. I am also currently trying to save money for a down payment on a new car. So my question is this, is the Photo iPod so much better than the 20gb that it would be worth keeping or should i keep the 20gb and sell the photo so that I'd have more money to put towards a new car?

I need opinons from those who already have one of these ipods or those who know alot about the two. I would just try them both out when they get here and decide that way, but i figure i will get a little extra money when i sell one of them if it is unused.

The idea of having a photo ipod is tempting, but so is getting a car asap...

What do you think???

3x capacity
picture capability
nice color screen

You get the idea ) I kept my FreePhotoiPod, and I'm happy with it. 60GB is nice, plus being able to transfer photos directly from my camera to the iPod (with the camera connector) is very nice

Plus, I doubt you will get so much more money for the 60gig to save for the car;)

Here's what you should do

Sell the 20GB and 60GB on ebay or something.. then buy a 30GB photo iPod, because I doubt you really need 60GB.. but if you do need all that space, then go with the 60GB

Keep the photo, I'd much rather have that than my 20 gb right now.

EatChex is right, the color screen makes such a big difference. Get the 30 if you don't have that much music.

yea, I am totally loving these photo ipods. YoU would think that just having everything in color and having the ability to store/view photos isn't that much of an upgrade, but once you get it...you'll be amazed. Compared to the my old 4G 20gb model, I love my photo.

does anyone have the dock for the photo ipod and use the tv out function? i'm wondering if it will display the album art on the tv screen while playing, that would be a sweet function.

i don't.. don't really have a use for it.. im sure there are some who take photos and want to share them and whatnot, but I just have it for the music (i also have my iPod set to download pics from my digital camera directory, but I don't upt them on my TV)

Well, if it has tv out for the song info and album art than it would make the ipod viable as an addition to the home entertainment center. All it would need is a remote.

it doesn't display album art on the TV. just the photos in your photo library.
