lajo cases - ice vs. frost

anyone have photos of lajo cases in ice or frost? i know a lot of people here use them. i was about to order some in ice but i saw a sample photo of the exo 3g in ice and it looked fugly. like a layer of mucus covering an ipod. the sample photos of 4g cases in ice look great, though. i have to order 3 and i really don't want to end up w/ cases that look like snot. i have an iskin in arctic if that serves as a good reference point for descriptions instead of photos.

anyone?

also, can someone explain to me how the lajo key program works? i just want the $5 coupon for signing up but i can't figure out if it's still offered or how to get it and all that.

on a related note, anyone know how long it takes to receive lajo cases. I ordered one a week ago, anf it looks like it hasn't shipped yet.

i have a ice case but i have never used it cause i bought the one with a wheel cover and i hate the wheel cover. and also i have a 40gb now and it doesnt fit in that lajo case

most of the ipodlounge ice/frost photo links are broken or for 3g models. i know a bunch of people here used to have lajo keys so surely they want some money from someone signing up under them and placing an order.

The $5 coupon for keys is no longer in affect. You can now refer someone and you'll get a percentage of their sales, but you can't get the $5 anymore. The program was deactivated last Thanksgiving. It reappeared for a couple weeks around New Year and then was put back to bed (although there's contradictory statements on the site itself). My key is zojirushi if you're interested...

Lajo has done several 50-55% off deals around the beginning of the year, but there hasn't been anything like that lately. I keep holding off on buying a case for my Photo iPod, hoping the 50% off comes back around...

I always like this page for good shots of the various colors - http//www.theistore.com/exocolors.html. However, it doesn't really illuminate the frost vs. ice debate (like what's the exact difference between translucent and semi-translucent). What style case are you looking for? I have an unused Frost exoflpfb 4g that I need to sell.

From looking through the forums just now, it looks like Lajo is expecting to launch a new site very soon. You always have to take these "very soon" ideas of Lajo's with a grain of salt. It could mean in the next week or in 4 months. Anyway, that might account for why there haven't been any sales recently (aside from a price-break on the iPodArt cases including a zip and TwistClip).

thanks for all the insight, stuart. i caved in and bought the exoflp 4g cases in frost (i wish i had seen your post about wanting to sell your exoflpfb before ordering, though ?) and a mini flpfb case in ice since they don't come in frost. i'll post pics if you're interested in seeing the color difference. i was also waiting for a sale but i had to order a case for someone else (in order to get free shipping) and they were getting antsy.
