DDOS is illegal. Deliberate Denial of Service. They are popular on IRC. Back in the day, we were DDOSed a few times. A successful attack can shut down a network.

huh? i didnt know they had been sued....i think im the only one who heard over a year ago, that blockbuster were going bankrupt and someone was buying them out...or something like that.....everyone i ask says they never heard anything about it.........it was on one of those news channels that have all the stock exchange shit going over the screen and you can only see about 1 square inch of actual people.....you know the one im talking about?

Just happened to be a day when someone decided to try an attack. I blocked the requests soon after at the httpd level so it was no big deal.
Nothing huge that I know of.
