Isn't it supposed to shrink the file size? I had a 64 MB Russell Peters clip that I was trying to squeeze onto my memory stick; after PSP Video 9 transcoded it, it was 250 MB...if this is the case, I probably won't be able to even fit 1 movie on my memory stick once I get the 1 gig. Someone who has used this program a lot, is this typical?

You probably need to adjust the bitrate

go into the profile tab and you can scroll thru the different profiles and it will tell how much a file will be.

What type of file was the original? DIVX AVI?
Keep in mind that the output file size is dependent upon many things bitrate, resolution, compression, audio quality, etc. just to name a few. Most of these settings are customizable through the Profiles within PSP Video.

Thats because you made the output bitrate higher than the original file bitrate.

Can someone be specific about exactly which option (and under which tab) I need to change? I changed what I thought was the right option and it didn't do much to the size unless I made video quality 128 kbps or something...sorry, I am not good with this kind of stuff...
