I've had my iPod for what...a week maybe? and I've scratched up the front already. I found a place online that replaces parts on iPods, so I'm not all that concerned, but am wondering if anyone knows anything to get scratches out? They aren't huge, or deep even. Looks like I had the iPod in the same pocket as my keys or something.

Meanwhile, my shuffle should arrive soon!

Just forget about it, it's not worth the extremely large costs to get rid of the scratches.

Its very common for ipods to get scratched so dont go crazy over a few scratches, best way to prevent them is to get a case. I wont exactly recommend replacing parts cuase if you open it you

1. void the warranty
2. can possibly break it

Mine is doing the same thing, and I put mine in my pocket all by itself. They're just like cell phones, they scratch real easily. As compfreak said, the best thing to do is get a case. I'm waiting on cool4free to go back up because I'm getting a case through phreeipods.com, its only 2 referrals. And like flatline said, you dont want to void the warranty.

There's scratches all over my iPod...even 1 on the screen...I've since purchased an iSkin evo2 which has prevented further damage, but I really wouldn't worry about it. Who cares if your MP3 Player has scratches on it? The main reason I got a case was because I wanted a clip, not scratch protection.

It takes a LOT of time and effort, but that ipodcleaner link DOES work. I have it and it removed all my surface scratches and most of the 2 deep ones on the screen. They would have gone completely if I kept at it, but an hour and a half and a sore arm was all I was willing to invest.

Same here, I've had mine for a little over 2 years and just a month ago i got a Evo 2 iSkin and it comes with a plastic piece that goes over the screen. Very helpful..same with the rubber caseing.
