I got bored in the middle of the night so I started this, hopefully we can all update it and finish it.

This is the benefit that we get for each referral.

[u3148b2be6c][b3148b2be6c]Cash Sites[/b3148b2be6c][/u3148b2be6c]
Notebooks4Free - 55.56 per ref
DVRs4Free - 55.00 per ref
MP3players4free - 55.00 per ref
OddTech4free - 50.00 per ref
PSPs4Free - 50.00 per ref
Cameras4Free - 46.43 per ref
PVPs4Free - 45.00 per ref
DS4Free - 37.50 per ref
Get4Friends - 36.25 per ref

[u3148b2be6c][b3148b2be6c]Gift Sites[/b3148b2be6c][/u3148b2be6c]
FreeMiniMacs - 60.00 per ref
FreeIpods - 60.00 per ref
FreeHandbags - 50.00 per ref
FreeIpodShuffle - 50.00 per ref
FreeDigitalCameras - 45.00 per ref
FreePhotoIpods - 45.00 per ref

The system I used for finding this information is not very complicated.

1) If the site offers paypal. Divide the paypal ammount by number of refs.
2) If the site offers 1 gift. Find the cost of the gift at best buy or other brick and mortar store and divide by number of refs.
3) If the site offers a choice of multiple gifts for one number of refs, Average the highest and lowest gifts and divide by the number of refs.
4) If the site offers a choice of multiple gifts for many number of refs, take the cheapest gift and divide by the number of refs for it, then take the most expensive gift and divide by the number of refs. Average these 2 numbers.

I like your idea, but you aren't taking into consideration the fact that Free sites get paid for each referral, and also for the offer you do.

So FreeiPods = 6 Referrals in total if you include the offer you do

liYou probably have already realized this, and if so, sorry to point it out...

PodTopia

Also you should remember they get volume discounts, so prices @ Best Buy aren't too accurate.

I'm not sure you're reading his post in the correct context. It seems to me he is using this formula to determine the sites which are the best [iea2e8b53e8]value[/iea2e8b53e8] (most benefit for least referrals).

Correct FON, I didn't take into account the referral you have to do because you have to do that referral for all the sites. And PodTopia, think of it as if you returned the prizes to a brick and mortar store, how much credit would you get (If they aren't engraved of course twisted )

but this could throw some people for instance who will do minimac because its the best value... but then try to sell it, b/c they wont sell on ebay or wherever for as much as they are worth at best buy or other stores....

just a thought, because thats what lines im normally thinking along

slease

But you can exchange it for its full value at an apple store. tell you what, I'll split up the list into paypal/checks sites and gift only sites.

Did you just say if the site offers paypal then divide by refferals?! Uhmmm no. They have to get something out of it. Maybe you could divide by refferals+2 or something.

In other words. If they have a $200 paypal offer and it says 10 refs required, they arent getting $20 a ref. They are probably getting $50. They have to make some kind of profit.

Thats just an example by the way.

Wrong.

In MOST cases, this isn't applicable, since the person who referred you has your offer completion counted under his account. This only counts if you sign up under someone who has no chance of completing the site or you sign up without a reflink.

Duh.

freephotos, this is not a benefit analysis for the Offer company... This is for us. There are no sites that offer only $200.00 for 10 referrals. Your post is very confusing, please clarify.

I just said that it was an example HELLO are you even listening?!

Lets take the photo ipod. It cost $450 bucks. You only need 10 refs for it. So $450 divided by 10 is like errr $45 about. With the topic creators logic, you're saying that gratis gets $45 per a ref if they buy the ipods at full price.

NO. They have to make profit. Otherwise this is just a waste of there time. They probably get about $60 per a ref.

Now keep in mind this is just an exmaple. If they pay less than $450 for an ipod then the other numbers will also change. I'm just saying that you can't just divide the cost of the gift by your refs. Because that way, they aren't making a profit.

Do you see anywhere on the site that says "non-profit orginization?"

What?
What?
Exactly.

They also make money from DQ'd accounts and non-completed accounts. I have a freephotoipods.com account with 3 greens and over 100 yellows with the offer done and I still have yet to attempt to complete it and never will.

But nowhere am I talking about the benefit for the company. This is the benefit for us as the "customers". This analysis is for us when doing our trades. If we are paying 35.00 for freeipods referrals than you can calculate our profit from finishing the site as (50x5)-(35x5) = $75.00

The companies make profit all over the place. They make tons of profit from people who go green on sites but never find any referrals and never get gifts.

(edit) fixed freeipods, actually $60.00 a ref not $50.00

Rather than spend my time studying for my final tomorrow, I suppose I'll address this thread. First, the most profitable aspect of free sites is incomplete accounts. Second, the Gratis does NOT make ~$60/Ref - it is actually much less. Check out Giftfox.com to get an idea of which sites pay how much (the more Giftfox is willing to pay you to do an offer, the more they are getting paid for the referral). Third, why are you arguing with slease...he is posting from OUR perspective, not the reverse. In other words, he is trying to list which sites have the best VALUE[=http//dictionary.reference.com/search?q=value]VALUE. Finally, if you want to be technical, Gratis most certainly does get a huge discount because of the volume of their orders, but you must also factor in that they pay for shipping for each order they ship out.

Can anyone help me out with sites I haven't listed? I've done most of the ones I'm signed up for.

If you post the prizes and referral ammounts I can do the math.

From the Wired article on Gratis
[quoteeba928d7ea="Wired"]Canoso also declined to specify the advertisers' bounties, but said they can range between $25 and $90, depending on the program and the kind of customer it attracts.[/quoteeba928d7ea]
So, wouldn't that make an average of around $50/referral. I'm sure most of the common offers are around the $30 mark. $90 for offers that 4freespot would use. But, still, the average seems to hover around $50/ref or so. So, even if every green goes towards being redemmed for something free; they would be even or more than even.

Recently they said they passed the $8,000,000 given out in free gifts.

But, thinking about the big picture it's amazing what they have accomplished. $8 million dollars for advertising is nothing. One Hollywood movie probably spends more than that in 1-2 weeks of advertising. However, Gratis has managed to have freeipods refs everywhere so that almost everyone in the web knows about it. People have put up their ref links everywhere it's possible to put on the internet!

Though I still feel dietary supplements and wrinkle cream isn't quite right for the demographs I think. Though Napster, BMG, Blockbuster and Columbia House are really spot on.
