McDonalds or Wendys?

slease

24-04-2005 01:03:16

McDonalds because I'm cheap. Wendys does have the better salads and chicken sandwiches though.

24-04-2005 01:14:41

the fingers rumors kinda hurt it, but wendies has always been a step above Mc Ds for me. That goddamn baked potato is so good, especially if you can go to the salad bar and decorate it yourself.

slease

24-04-2005 01:19:58

But did you still vote for McDonalds? P

honestly none yet, its neck and neck for me. I need some swaying,

i hate wendys, when i was like really little my mom had a argument with a manager there, it was on a slow day with no other customers so that really gave me a negative feeling about wendys, and u know how these childhood things never go away

I'm not a big Wendy's fan, but I really just can't stand McDonalds anymore.

They are both good.

But the Wendy's Homestyle Chicken Filet is great - at least two or three steps above the flimsy McChicken.

i despise Mcdonalds. not just their food but as a company. im assuming that nobody who has posted in this thread yet has seen the film

Supersize Me

cos if you had, you would have some kinda respect for your body. and you would also know a little bit about why the company are a bunch of lilililis.

i was never a fast food person but id choose anything over Mcdonalds. I had a friend who went to mcdonalds, bought a chicken sandwich and then went upstairs (in the shop) to eat it. as he bit into it he noticed the large amount of mayo that they had put on it. upon further examination of the chicken sandwich, he realised that it wasnt mayo, but PUSS from chicken. to cut a long story short, he was given about $4000 and he spent it on a lifesize replica of

The Predator.

not sure if its worth it or not though D

Yeah I saw Supersize Me.

The guy in that film absolutley went overboard eating 3 McDonalds meals a day. Everyone who has half a brain realizes that eating more than one McDonald's meal in a three or four day span is a bad thing. Also, it's a choice to eat there. You don't have to get all negative and go against it when there are more people who like it than don't. The food isn't that bad, it's pretty cheap, and some of their food is really good (like the Parfait, Salads, Apple Dippers).

I have respect for my body, I am not over or under weight, I can run 4 miles, I can bench 145 pounds, and I participate in 2 sports for my High School. It's a choice to eat there, no one's making you do it.

And the whole PUSS thing, it could have happened at ANY restaurant, especially if mayo looked the same as it.

[quotef8b8e5aad9]the fingers rumors kinda hurt it[/quotef8b8e5aad9]. The woman was arrested on charges of Grand Larsony for lying and defacing Wendy's image ). She planted the finger.

I tend to go to McDonald's much more often than Wendy's simply because of the $1 Menu...but I'm not sure I would say (aside from the $1 Menu) I prefer one or the other.

JOSHBOX

24-04-2005 11:18:32

Wendys has a 1$ menu also... and its hella good...

anyway I <3 wendys. and that finger was planted by the lady, although i was freaked out at the time since i ate at that same exact location of the finger one day before it was found.

the mcdonalds dollar menu blows wendys dollar menu out of the water for sure... the chocolate chip cookies are amazing.

I understand that it is a choice to eat at McDonald's, but there is no reason a "Chicken McGrill" should have 400 calories, 16 grams of fat, and over 1000mg of sodium (the daily limit a person should have is 500mg). The fact that their food is packed full of fat, sodium, and preservatives is irresponsible and dangerous. Also, many people do NOT know that eating McDonald's food on a daily basis is extremely bad for you. If people had any clue about proper nutrition, there wouldn't be such a high number of obese people in the country. I'm not saying they don't have a role in their condition, just that there are outside factors that do contribute. As for the puss issue, no restaurant with ANY sort of quality control would serve a sandwich that had been rotting. You're argument there is just ridiculous. Needless to say, I do not eat fast food.

I must agree. If you guys haven't figured yet, I'm a sucker for pizza. I've gone a whole week at just eating ordered out and frozen pizza. I probably had a bowl of cereal here and there but my point is my metabolism pays off also ) But that ceretainly couldn't have been healthy.

I bet the Burger King feels left out. Anyhow, I was just thinking...to me...Wendy's kind of has a cleaner, more healthy, image than McDonald's. Not sure why...maybe Dave Thomas is cleaner and more healthy than Ronald McDonald.

Not sure where I saw this but it was pretty funny....Big Mac sauce is actually just Mayo that they leave out in the sun for a while ;) I don't really get anything from McDonald's that isn't on the $1 Menu any more...I tend to get 2 McChickens, a double cheeseburger, fries and 2 apple pies and a courtesy cup - best $5 you'll ever spend

i agree that its peoples choices to eat whatever and wherever they like. i was just saying from my point of view. and the guy in supersize me may have eaten 3 a day, which i doubt many people do. but if you eat 1 a day its still not good for you. did anyone see the extra called "The Smoking Fry" on the Supersize Me dvd?

thats enough alone to not ever eat Mcdonalds/fast food again. it was rank!

for anyone not familiar with it. they got like 7 different things form the mocdonalds menu (big mac, mcchicken sandwich etc.) and placed them all in seperate jars. they also put a portoin of fries from mcdonalds in another jar. then in 2 other jars they put a hambruger from a local restaurant in 1, and some of their "homemade" fries in the other. they let them sit in a room for what ended up being 10 weeks. the local food rotted and moulded faster than the mcdonalds food which did eventually mould, but the fries from mcdonalds were exactly the same as when they were put inside the jar 10 weeks prior. they looked as though you could take them out and eat them, and theyd be fine. for me that was enough to never eat there. but thats just me. personally i dont want that shit in my body if it wont even mould after 10 weeks

oh and i dont think id eat puss for $4000. maybe im the only one though D

If I'm not mistaken, grease (oil) is a preservative...which would explain why the fry didn't mold. Think about it...its a starch saturated with 2 preservatives (salt and oil).
