I thought this was a scam from day one. $25 per person just for signing up!? NO WAY, think about how much money that would work out to
US population = 293,000,000
Lets just say that they signed up 1 percent of the US. That would work out to them shelling out over $73,000,000 ($73M).
There is no way anyone would come up with a business plan that is obvioulsy this bad. Not even a well-established company could afford a promotion like that.

citibank ran a free ipod mini promotion, and each mini probably cost them $199, or $150 multiply that by lets say 1% and ummm i think it can work...

22-04-2005 08:47:31
you had to spend x amount of money for that promotion, no giving away money for nothing couldnt work

I'm just glad they don't let you access your account at all in order to cancel it. Looks like I'll have loads of spam rolling in by June 1st.

Ahh, it looks like they have an unsubscribe link in their e-mails (which gmail flagged as spam) but I'm not sure it does anything. I entered my address and got no sort of confirmation at all.

GreenZap Launches Site with Pre-Registration Phase
Monday April 11, 822 pm ET
LA JOLLA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 11, 2005--GreenZap.com, a consumer-based online buying and spending account service, launched its site this week with a pre-registration phase. GreenZap, the new dot com-er on the block, aims to compete directly with big dog "PayPal®," eBay's® online payment processor.
A GreenZap spokesperson said, "The GreenZap brand is fresh and fun and gives consumers a viable, low-cost choice for sending and receiving money online." GreenZap anticipates capturing a large percentage of the existing online spending community, but sees its brand and messaging appealing to a new generation of online spenders who simply want to use their account for "fun" spending.
GreenZap members can send money to anyone around the world as long as they have an email address. Members can spend money purchasing goods and services from other GreenZap members or from other popular sites, including eBay® and Yahoo® Auctions. Members can load money to their GreenZap account for spending or earn money by telling others about GreenZap.
During the pre-registration phase, GreenZap is rewarding consumers with $25 in their account for signing up. The account is free and there are no set-up charges. GreenZap will be launching early this summer.

there is plenty of proof.. the owenr put a rented mail box inside ralphs as his address, and a new york phone number as teh administrative contact number... he has also been convicted of numerous other scams and has had some of his scams closed by the USPS (for mail fraud).
i'm stopping with greenzap. there is NO way they can give out $25 to every person.

I understand and as long as the person remains in contact I complete the trades. But I have had 3 people who I just paid, who I kept sending them PM's for a month and they out of the blue go green and expet payment
