I'm sure someone has written an adware that highjacks whenever you sign up for a Gratis or OC site and takes the refs for themselves.

There used to be ones that stole Amazon refs, I'm sure there is one like this already made.

You may be right, but you didn't answer his question.

TioTony You'll have to be more specific. Which program did you intend on using? With most programs you can simply uncheck any objects you don't want to remove (in this case, you would want to make sure not to remove any [id4fa573fcd]tracking cookies[/id4fa573fcd]) Hope this helps.

So...? Theoretically, this program would switch out cookies to show as the referral coming from Ref ID "B", rather than Ref ID "A" - once the referral is credited, it cannot be given to (or taken by) anyone else.

Oops, my bad. I was wondering why he'd want to run a Spyware/Adware on his computer. But, he meant a Spyware/Adware removal program!

Those programs will also change the hosts for some ad sites and referral sites. So, you probably won't get to those sites since they point to 127.0.0.1 but if you don't run them while you're doing a site, then it should be fine right?

I run all the anti-spyware stuff regularly and it's working great. The only problem I'm having is that the antispyware tools blocks certain sites that OC and other sites use as offers.

Gratis has a big partnership or something where they can directly link to the offers. The others have to go through a 3rd party referral broker of sorts which anyone and their brother uses to make annoying pop-up and banner ads everywhere, so anti-spyware sites simply blocks them.

So, you might run into "Page Not Found" errors occationally when you try and do an offer but you can choose the option of not blocking advertisers.

Although I'd recommend using Mozilla or Firefox or all browsing needs and IE to signup for sites and offers. It's freaky that the OfferCentric scroller works nowhere except on IE so who knows what might only work in IE.

Hope that's more helpful.
