Yea so I finally talked to LiveSupport at around 400 PM...After nearly a one-hour conversation, I was told that my account would NEVER be taken off of hold....

in their favor, I DID sign up initially with an AOL.com E-MAIL address, and never received an activation E-mail, so i signed up with a hotmail.com e-mail address...After Robert (A Cool4Free support member, who regularly posts on A4F forums) spoke to the owner, he told me that even though my AOL account was never EVER activated or even used/logged into that I would stay on hold forever (6 referrals down the drain)...

Given, my actions did breach their TOS, but COME ON. Certainly the concern for these sites would be people signing up multiple accounts, then doing referrals for themselves, but how could i ever do that if i couldnt even log in. Even worse is that the person that I signed up under is also on hold FOREVER despite the fact that he did nothing wrong...

[bca1d036def]Yes I did speak to "Live Support" but I still think their website is run by a bunch of androids....[/bca1d036def]

Oh yea, PS, all six of my referralls were unique different people who ALL went green, and im SURE that cool4free will get paid by their advertisers for every single one...

heres the thread I started on A4F...where "Cool4Free Support" responded...

You did violate the TOS, the man's right.

Man that sucks, but I would keep contacting them anyway.

Of course I did, but any human being can see through the system and see the context of the situation....3 accounts, but ONLY ONE was activated...i mean HONESTLY...

a) I only completed one offer under ONE person's referral link, which they verified

b) I only used one account to refer my friends to (heck there was only one account I could even log into)

c) I am SURE that they will get their money for all of my successful referrals.....and walk away with it, giving me nothing...

14-04-2005 19:43:49

does that mean your green for me on phreeipods is going to get rejected?

PodTopia

14-04-2005 19:45:51

FiSkarZ, i understand your frustration, and I'd be pissed if I were you, but still, you violated their TOS, they've got you there. They still haven't shipped my order from 3/8, so I still have a bone to pick with them.

FiSKARZ

14-04-2005 19:51:50

PodTopia, I understand your frustration, but at least you're getting a gift at some point, whereas my account is on hold FOREVER, no bargains, no adjustments, no extra referrals to complete...thats it...they have their money that I spent weeks earning for them, and now they're gonna hide like cowards behind their TOS....

Yes they've certainly "GOT ME"......and they can get any of you as well...

PodTopia

14-04-2005 19:53:10

LOL, I know, I'm not frustrated, I'm saying that it sucks to be you and that they have you by the balls (you can't do anything). Bad publicity isn't good for business though, so post all over and you'll see what happens.

PoPoJiJo

14-04-2005 19:56:13

so is that a yes on ur ref being rejected?

FiSKARZ

14-04-2005 20:06:53

[quote7807c6f240="FiSKARZ"]you mean the ref you did for me on phreepsps?[/quote7807c6f240]
NO mine is good. You in exchange for that green on phreepsps did one for me on phreeipods that is the one I care about I know the one I did is good however I am not so sure about the one you did for me

FiSKARZ

14-04-2005 22:43:26

well i still completed the ref. and as far as PHREEIPODS is concerned, i only signed up once, so unless they wanna be real dicks and pull all the referrals i did on all of their web sites....i dont think yours should be a problem...

FiSKARZ

15-04-2005 11:59:40

well too bad how it happened only when I asked for my gift....they kept their mouths shut until then

PsychoAU

15-04-2005 12:45:43

dude, you broke the rules. plain and simple. no one said any of these companies have to make any special cases based on your appeal to their humanity. They are in it to make as much money as they can without breaking the rules. They get to decide what is okay or not. They clearly said ahead of time that multiple accounts are not cool. You broke the rule, now live with it.

This is just as lame as when people complain about companies charging them for autoships because they didn't cancel within the trial period. You messed up. No one to blame but yourself.

But if it will make you feel better, you should hire Johnnie Cochran's corpse to represent you. It would make about as much sense as you whining about this.

Wow, that sucks real bad.

But, just curious. Why didn't you just change the e-mail address instead of creating a new account?

And, how did they find that you had 3 accounts? Does Coobro ask for your address when you sign up?

Really? I saw some Brag Bag threads about someone getting a Photo iPod 60GB[=http//www.freeipodguide.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=11068]Photo iPod 60GB and a PSP[=http//www.freeipodguide.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=10770]PSP from them. What was that all about?

Yeah, some people did and some people didn't, they're REALLY SHADY.

I agree with PodTopia and others. I don't see why people think that if they create 2 accounts, the company should just forgive them. It's in their TOS and you broke their rules, so of course they are happy to dq you. That's how they make their money and I don't see why that's wrong. They don't have to give you anything if you don't follow their rules. It's not like they put you on hold unfairly, they had a legitimate reason. You were able to explain yourself and they didn't see that as a justified explinatation.

Now PodTopia, I hope you have success with them though.

I disagree though.

Newbies don't read the TOS when they sign up. So, when they break a rule or so, depending on the cirumstance they should be heard and forgiven if it was just n00bness that got them into it. Like traffic tickets, bank overdrafs etc. all give you an oppertunity to explain why they should forgive you and not charge you anything.

This particular case is too convoluted to make heads or tails out of so I won't say anything about it.

It's a Cool4Free site, and yea they asked for the address too...

And for everyone else with negative comments please keep them to yourselves, im wasnt trying to start a war with thread, im merely just venting on my experiences. And yes, you know what, I WAS WRONG, sure but im sure that everyone on this forum has had some situation (maybe on eBay...etc) where they got dicked out of their money and had nothing to do about it, I'm frustrated with the fact that they robbed me of the credits i got for them, and their hiding like little cowards behind their TOS...one way or another this will affect the opionins of some users, and leave others unchanged....to each his own.

I've had a bad experience, so have others, the forums are for stuff like this, and maybe someone else wont make the same mistake that I did and get screwed out of their referrals..

Oops, my bad. I don't know why I wrote Coobro.

Yeah, you probably did enough damage to the Cool4free reputation here with this thread.
