Hey

I was just curious... if i signed up for an offer using a web certificate worth $20, and didn't cancel it in time, what happens when they try to charge you the outrageous fees for the automatic continuance of the offer?

For example, having $15 on your web certificate and a company trying to charge $50.

What happens? They can't do anything can they?

Anyone had this experience?

Thanks!

By no means do I endorse this, but as far as I know the charge will be declined altogether.

yeah, if you use the paypal virtual mastercard, any charges over your balance are declined as well.

I've cancelled all my offers so far. I'm curious on what happens if I do forget to cancel.

Yea I heard that any charge request to your paypal account (by using the virutal card) must be approved first. Did I hear correctly?

Well, the charge comes to webcertificate server. They see, want_to_charge > amount_in_webcert and then respond decline charge.

By privacy laws, they don't have to say why they declined.

Most credit card will accept the charge, then also add a -$30 to your account for overdraft though they can decline. It's a little scam on the credit cards and bank cards they do there. Anyone know more about this?

On webcert it says that they can collect the amount if your account goes -$0.0 and they can send it to collection. Is this correct? That would very much suck ass if they put a collection on your credit report.
