Newbies Unite!

I have reviewed the slew of trade requests on this site, and have determined that the newbies have the power! Why do they insist we only accept paypal? Because they have done all of the sites and have nothing to offer in the way of a trade! We are getting screwed! Newbies, unite and accept nothing less than $25 per trade (if you can even call it that, every ref we accept payment limits us on our future trades!). We are REQUIRED to complete the offer first, and then expect payment? Was the how the very first trade went on this site? If this were the case, there would never have been anytrading allowed, after all everyone should have started as a n00b! Did it start like that, "you go green first" "no way, your a n00b, you go first" "so are you, you go first" I doubt it. Just another example of how we are being held to an unreal standard of trading. Read it while you can, I doubt it will stay much longer.

Go ahead newbies... go ahead and make your wait for your new ipod, tv, psp, or whatever your getting for free longer... go ahead

why not take the time and trade with trusted members, go green 1st and not have a such a big chance of getting scamed yourself. how do you want to decide who will go 1st, who ever has the coolest Avatar or best screen name??? Go get scamed out of 3 or 4 refs them come back, get a good trade record and trade with the rest of us.

I think going first is more for scamming reasons than anything else. Someone can join this site as someone else, scam and disappear.

When I joined this site and was a newbie, i traded with a few other newbies. One of them was a scammer and it made it evident why going first rule was needed.

I'm not sure I understand the paypal gripe. I thought payment for referrals went to around $25 for highly desireable sites and around $20 for the other ones. Is someone giving the newbs a hard time that we don't know about?

You're right about running out of sites for older members for at least me. Actually not only sites but also offers. Even if I join a new site, I see the same damn offers everywhere.

Check the threads man. The new guys are getting $10-15.

Hmm, I thought those posts were just some wishful thinking on someones part - those $10-$15 referrals for freeipods and such.

Since I trade only, I don't think I'm qualified to say anything in that matter. I pay my local friends for greens but they do take up a shitload of my time explaining the ins and outs of the whole process.

Though, any other method except trading and paying produces a shitload of yellows and hardly ever any greens. But, getting paid for referral sure beats the hell out of just randomly using some guy on the web's ref link.

But, for trades, the reputable traders do come through, don't they? If you go green on a person who has a good trade record, then there's very little risk that he/she is not going to go green as well.

I somewhat understand your frustration, yet you don't offer any real alternative to the current system. Have you really looked at it from the perspective of the overall health of our trading system??? You say that it is unfair that newbs have to take money or go green first, but what is a viable alternative in weeding out potential scammers??? If you have one, then you should share it. Plus, you make it seem as though newbs are forced to do our bidding. As far as I know, I'm not allowed to put a gun to anyone's head here to trade with me. You're more than welcome to trade with whoever and wherever you please.

To me, you have posted 5 times, but have not been here long enough to make justifiable arguments. You've taken a very cursory look at the trading forum and just stated that it's unjust because you have to prove yourself as a trader. If you were a member here for awhile and gone through the trading system here from newb to reputable trader, and then you gave some suggestions as to improving things, then I would put more credence in your argument.

I'll be the first to admit that our system here isn't perfect. But in my opinion, it's a whole lot better than some other shady ways of trading I've seen. Just my two cents.
