i want the 1st one cause it has a blue led fan, but im not sure if it gonna be enough to power my stuff. right now ive got a 550w aspire 3 in 1 cameleon power supply, and someone told me its probably not putting enough power out for my stuff cause its not a name brand power supply.

what kind of graphics card? that matters when your getting a PS, more wattage is needed for stronger cards

well at this moment im using an ati all in wonder 7500 cause i dont have a tv in my room yet, but once i get a tv im gonna put my ati 9600xt back in.

the problem is though, is when i try to do something with video acceleration turned on the the particular program with the 7500 it might or might not play, it might freeze my machine up and ill have to restart. with the 9600xt i cant do anything with video acceleration or it will freeze my machine up. i dont know what the problem is, maybe its the motherboard or something causing the video issue. i have no idea.

i noticed i starting having problems when i upgraded to this motherboard and processor.

i used to have a 1900+ on a ecs k7vta3 v3. and i had no problems like this.

and i had a 350w smartBlue antec power supply.

i have the same antec 350 watt smart blue

heres my config (running fully stable)

Athlon 3200+ (oced from a 2500+) stable at 400fsb 2.19ghz
A7n8x-E
Audigy 2 hooked up to some klipsch promedia ultra 5.1
5900xt
cd rom
dvd drive
180gb (1 hard drive)
512 PC3200 Ram

i think im pushing my power supply though, like i tried one western digital raptor in my system and i get problems. Probably a overdraft of power. But im thinking the 480 watt "should" be enough for you.

I was running into something similar to this a while back. Had a radeon 9700 that would constantly freeze up/reboot my machine whenever it had to push out some 3d graphics.

Replaced my generic 550w PSU with an Antec of lower wattage(400 I think?). That fixed it. Turns out the quality of the power supply is very important to system performance. Still using the same 400w Antec on an new AMD-64 machine with the same graphics card.
