is it possible to change the referrer on a trainn site after you sign up under someone who has not responded back to the trade offer? I have not completed an offer yet...

Once an account has been created, the referrer cannot be changed to another user, only removed.
Since you haven't completed an offer though, you can abandon your exisiting account and re-register for a new account using a different referral link.
