Question about Work computers?

Hi, I do all my offers, page-signups, and (eventually) ordering/confirming from my home computer. But I also sign onto pages to check referral status or to see what offers are available at my work computer. Since I'm not actually doing any sort of maintenance on my account from my work computer could this cause a problem?

P.S. Posting this in this forum since every site is different so I want to ask the question to each site that I use.

You'll get the same response for every site probably. Don't login at work, companies have the same internal ip addresses and have proxy's

Good to know. Now I'll know not to log in. Thanks.

I use TightVNC to check my accounts from work www.tightvnc.com

While it's a good rule of thumb to play it safe and not login from work if you don't yet know the specific site's policy, it really does depend on the site. Trainn is very reasonable about things like that, and I'm pretty sure they would not put you on hold for simply logging in to your account from work, school, or most anyplace else (unless through a proxy or a foreign country or something). Some sites are a bit anal about it, and personally I find that unreasonable, as long as you aren't completing offers from different IP's.

Trainn-Alan might respond here to confirm, or you might just open a support ticket to ask -- that way you're giving them a heads-up, making it even less likely that they would take issue.

Usually the reason I log on from work is so I can check to see if my referrals greened and whether I need to pay them. That way I can send the payment faster but I guess a couple of hours doesn't make much difference in that case. And yeah, I think my work is a proxy. I'm gonna play it safe and not do it anymore that way I don't run into any trouble.

Woah, I never even thought of that being a problem. I too log in at work just to check on my referrals' status' all the time. Guess I shouldn't? ?

You need to get the referral link out of your signature.

??

What's blocked? You can just use a browser to go to your IP with TightVNC. Your own IP (your home one) is blocked? Lame.

Nope. As long as you're only checking your account from there, it wont cause any problems.

I imagine he's talking about TightVNC's site being blocked from work.

Thanks for the confirmation, Alan! I was pretty sure you guys were cool with it, unfortunately there are some other misguided sites who aren't. I've tried to convince some of them to change their policy, and made some headway with one or two. I just can't figure out why they care where you login from if you're not actually registering or completing offers.

Yep, I've done it all the time on checkin on TRainn sites...... I can't speak for other networks but I've never had a problem checking/logging in to my account from work and I've completed almost every trainn site!

Thanks a lot. Thats great, gets a little boring at work so I like to check up on my refs' status.

And to Jenny Yeah, it was TightVNC that's blocked.
