what is the best offer that people have used so far? and what would be better, referrals or points?

Netflix or Blockbuster are both really good (if you like movies, that is).
And as to points vs. referrals, it all depends. If you want to do the site yourself, then you would choose points (and it could save you money, but you will use potential offers you could do on other people's sites), or you could do referrals and pay people to get greens for you.
After you get your TR up a little bit by going green for other people, that is.
That's my 2 cents ... for now. )
