I just heard it's a 20gb, if it is, it's not really worth 12 refs, on PS34FREE.COM, there were only 10 offers with 2 ood's for a 60GB!

Is there any chance of the 60 being availabe...I would give up my extra controller and game for the upgrade to the hdmi one....100 bucks is a 100 bucks right?

That would probably be something like $110. Games are most likely going to be $60 and the wireless controls for $50.

I finished b4 the requirements went up and got the gold bundle for only 12 refs ) so I guess I could probably sell the whole thing and buy the upgrade version, and still be ahead of the game...

Does anyone at Trainn have any idea of what availability will be like around launch? I ordered way back in February and just wanted to get an idea of what kind of wait I'm looking at.

I opened a support ticket to see if they might make the 60 available at all, and this is the reply I got

Question

I have an order placed for the gold bundle PS3, which includes and extra controller and a game. I was wondering if it is possible to get the 60 gb version of the PS3, with no game or extra controller instead.

It would probably be 10 or 20 bucks cheaper retail to buy the expensive PS3 instead of the game and controller to bundle with it, and I would really rather have some of the features of the more expensive model.

I think a lot of other people would like the same option. Let me know if it is a possibility.

We do not offer custom orders at this time.

However, we will be adding the 60gb version to the site in the very near future.

That's great...Does the very near future include before the release of the PS3 and will the requirements be reflected in the older accounts (such as mine) that needed only 8 refs for base bundle?

Yes, it will occur before the items release.

Concerning your other question, since the item was not available before, there will be no exceptions on the requirements. All users will be required to obtain the same amount.

Even though the cost to you will remain the same or be even less?

So possibly good news for those of you working on it or under the new requirments. I'll just take the 20 gb version I guess, sell it, and buy the upgraded one.

What type of data is everyone going to be saving on their PS3's?

I don't really care about the extra 40 gb...What I care about is the hdmi and other capabilities the 60 gb will have...

It stands for something like high definition media input or something like that....Anyway it carries high def video and audio on one cable about the size of a usb cable.

are games gonna be 1080p or 720p?

splinky321

I believe they will be both, but I think you need HDMI to get 1080p. You can get 720p and 1080i with standard component cables.
