...just to pitch in a few cents...It's not just TRAINN that is backordered for the 60gig v-pods, it's every free-site. Most sites are ordering from eCost.com, and eCost is backordered as it is, let alone w/ all these people completing sites for the new 60gigs....

But I'm wondering why exactly the 60gigs are backordered and not the 30's, too? I guess they made less of the 60's or maybe more people want those instead of the 30's? ?

I'm getting a little discouraged, too. I know it's a free ipod and it will eventually come, but why is Trainn so backed up with these? There's plenty of online vendors with these in stock. Alan, maybe you could shed light on the situation as to why it's taking so long? Not bashing, just asking.

so I just got my last two refs and requested approval tonight for the 60GB. I guess I'll just wait it out, hopefully by the time I get approved (10 days or so) the supply problems will be worked out and I'll have a shorter wait to get my ipod shipped.

That's the "blanket" estimate though. As I've said, it will not be much longer, but we don't want to publicly say a certain date because people get crazy if it's not shipped, order status updated, and they have a tracking number by that time.

I am understandably anxious about getting my shit, and yes, it has been said before a million times "relax (great post btw jetblack), but the lack of a definite time frame when, as tvitems pointed out, video ipods seem to be in stock everywhere else does make me, and I'm sure other people in my situation, somewhat worried. In any case, my order page now reads "Order Status Processing", instead of backordered! So hopefully it ships out soon. I'll let you guys know if it changes to shipped. So far today is original shipping estimate+8 days, but if this means they have their supply nailed down, I'm sure that number will drop. Never doubted you trainn, just didn't want my ipod sitting outside my apartment when I'm 400 miles away for thanksgiving.

UPS doesn't touch the packagaes during the weekend, so when they ship them on friday, it really ships on monday.

Therefore, everyone who's item is shipped will change to shipped on Monday. And you will most likely receive it round Wed.

Has it been in the last 4 days? If so, there is an email backlog due to blackfridayads emails. They're being answered but theres a lot to get through so it may be a few days before they are able to get to them all.

I guess they are going to update my account page shortly. I do know the 60gb black ipods were in a different batch then all the other ipod orders. That is how problems start because its not true. [be0d56e1b86]SOME FROM LAST WEEK[/be0d56e1b86] that WERE still listed as shipping soon will be updated but it does not apply to ALL IN THE SHIPPING SOON STATUS.

Some just went to shipping soon 15 minutes ago and because of your post, they're going to expect it to be shipped and a tracking number tonight.

I think all the 30gb ipod video actually shipped and the 60gb videos didn't, because you guys received tracking #'s for your 30gb video ipods and I didn't for my 60gb video ipod, but mine reads "shipped" in the order status.

OH MY GOD this thing is sooo fuckin' cool. It' so much thinner than I expected... my black 30 gb video ipod arrived in the mail yesterday (Dec. 5th) and the estimated shipment date was Dec. 5th... pretty sweet. This is my first freebie... I love this stuff! Just to let everyone know, it came from Amazon.com and was shipped from Nevada 2nd day air (I believe Amazon ships 2nd day air free if you spend x amount of money). I laughed because someone in another thread said something along the lines of 'I checked my receipt and the ipod came from Amazon.com.' When I answered the door for the UPS lady, she was holding a box that clearly and in large black print said, AMAZON.COM... had to look at the receipt, did ya? GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

I called fedex and they said that a package was shipped on the 7th of december and is expected to arrive my door by the Tuesday the 13th!!! It's my 60gb black ipod video, FINALLY! lol I placed my order for it on November 6th. Anyways, everyone whose 60gb black ipod video is at shipped and who haven't received their tracking #'s or their ipod yet, call FEDEX and ask them if there are any incoming packages to your addres and it's arrival date.

no, they didn't tell me that. I just called fedex and they told me that I have an incoming package via FEDEX and it will arrive on Tuesday. Call fedex and see what they say, they probably sent yours by fedex too.

Mine shipped fedex and it should be here Monday. I ordered Oct 30th, and ship estimate Nov 9th. I know I was on processing for more then 15 business days, and that it showed shipped before it was actually shipped. I think I may contact support to try to get the 100$ guarantee.
