It doesn't matter. You can't accept credit card payments with a personal account if its just a credit card, but if its coming from a credit card via a paypal account then your personal account can accept it fine. The account upgrade is for people wanting to accept orders from the general public who doesn't have a paypal account and doesnt' want to make one.

Huh? No, you can't accept cc payments with a personal account. Have no idea what you mean by "but if its coming from a credit card via a paypal account then your personal account can accept it fine."

As for the original question, I saw in another thread that TRAINN pays with a cc at least sometimes.

You're very wrong, pally )
If the credit card is attached as a verification method to paypal, and you use paypal's payment dialog (instead of a payment API on a shopping cart ect) the funds are handled as an avalible paypal balance.

No, I think you're still wrong. A credit card payment is a credit card payment, and someone has to pay the fees. If what you're saying is true then Paypal is eating the fees and we all know they won't do that.

If you still think you're right then link to a page that says you don't need to have a premium account to accept any kind of cc payment.

Some yes, some no. Because of the turnaround time on the orders, we do not have time to reload the account before processing the payment so there is a cap of how much can be sent through instant transfers. Once that limited has been exceeded, rather then sending an echeck that could take a week to clear, CC payments are made.
