So my gf logged into her site and it said her account was put on hold. What the heck is this! She got charged and all and also greened. Now the other persons went red.

I logged into check from my house and sure enough on hold.

maybe next time you will think twice on frauding the system

If you had checked on your account from her house, or on hers from yours thats a good reason for this.

Just logging in at a friends house will not get your account put on hold.

Yeah, I was gonna say the same thing. Some people are too paranoid about this logging in stuff. You should be able to log in just to check your account from anywhere, that would be crazy if that would put you on hold, it would make no sense. Now signing up or completing an offer, that's a different story.

Well I know Gratis doesn't allow it, so I figured they wouldn't either.

Wow Gratis is strict...

Yeah your not allowed to guide someone through the sign up process, so they would figure you were guiding them if you did that.

well theres a difference between walking someone through the Gratis process, and logging into your account from another IP.

Gratis do allow this, and it doesnt breach any TOS. if all you are doing is logging in then you are fine. im pretty sure they're only bothered about logging in and doing offers and shsit from a different IP.

Hasek was put on hold, for supposedly being logged into my account just before he signed up.

well yeah but thats a bit different from checking your account at someone elses house.

he was your ref, and your account was logged into from somewhere else, and then that somewhere else had an account created there.....thats probably what kicked it all off.

Are you kidding me. I do all my sites and have greened on all trades. My gf had greened on 3 trades as well.

I trade with ffactory and he's great. I'm sure this is some weird misunderstanding.

I guess, but I told them to check the IPs and that I may have been logged in when he was because sometimes I idle. It'd fixed it, and I have my xbox now, so doesn't matter D

Yeah, that's wrong about Gratis. They definitely allow that. In fact, my gf was able to sign up and do her offer at my house since she doesn't have internet and has a different address. AND my roommates were able to sign up from the same place since they just live with me during the schoolyear and really have different addresses. So that's definitely not true about Gratis not allowing you to check your account from the same house. I was actually wondering if we would be able to do the same thing with TRAINN, since it is legit and not frauding them in any way.

flatline

24-08-2005 22:46:42

Well sorry to doubt you but I'm just going by what Train says. Hopefully Alan can solve this for you.

Why would you ever take the risk of logging into your account from a different IP?
Cant you wait like 20 minutes until you get home to check your status?

Sorry, but when I have $500 on the line, I try to play it safe.
I know OC looks for just about any reason in the world to DQ your account.
