No, we verified it just before filling the order, but it's now been changed.
The accounts are now being verified before orders are being allowed to be placed so you'll need to visit the Progress page and request your account be verified. When/If it is, the order button will appear on the items page.

He told me approval takes a couple of days, so I guess it's not as fast as it used to be. Well because I got 5 refs on YourFreeFlat, and just ordered never had to request approval.

Sorry if I sound a bit confused ( but was this change made recently? I put in an order on saturday or sunday and it said the order status was received and shipping date aug. 30th but nothing about verifying accounts, so I just want to make sure I am missing a step.

This was instituted on Monday in hopes of speeding up the fulfillment process as, due to the number of orders received, the fulfillment time is taking too long and doing it twice a week interrupts the other functions.

Yes, as stated above, with the orders coming in non-stop (talking dozens per day), and without adding additional staff, it's taking too long and pushing other tasks behind. We have changed it around to see if that speeds up the process, otherwise, there will need to be fewer fulfillment dates where more time can be devoted to it.

First come first serve, but we just started verifying them today as we had previous orders using the order, then verify system so those took top priority since they were older.
