PAYPAL NO LONGER AN OPTION

Just now I logged into Paypal to find some day ruining news - I check my e-mail and see this message

Because of this, at the moment Paypal is no longer an option on SpeedyFreebies. However, rest assured that I will be doing everything I can to get my account opened back up.

Again? We just went through this a few months ago, and after being contacted by numerous freebie sites, PayPal changed their mind and allowed it again. Why would they go and reverse it yet AGAIN?

Any other reports of this yet? This is the first one I've heard...

I read that I think Kerms owner of another freebie network sent them a letter explaing how these freebie sites work and thats how paypal allowed it too stay. You most likely have to do the same.

send them a carefully worded certified mail letter explaining your site and business model.

Ya rly. Pretty lame that you "don't send cheques or deal with any other type of online banking" in this kind of business. If you want to keep your site up or your "customers" happy, I'd suggest at least thinking about using one of those methods of payment.

I did type up a letter. I typed multiple ones up. It was pretty much a back and forth arguement.

Yes.. I carefully worded it and made sure it was best. I even had people review it for me and they thought it looked good.
I have no idea how kerms or whoever it was convinced PayPal.

The just kept responding basically with the same message (the one below).

Rly? I'll think about that. I might offer epassporte later on because it seems many people like it. However at the moment, I am sticking to strictly physical gifts and gift certificates.

Yes, for a moment after I had read the e-mail I had questioned if it was actually PayPal and not some one tricking me. You'd think support would know how to spell.

Then explain to them that the word "Perminantly" is not in the English vocabulary and therefore nullfies their decision

Good way to piss off the CS over at Paypal and get them to smite you, haha. That's unfortunate that Paypal is no longer an option but you should consider sending checks or other forms of online payment - if you want to continue to grow, that is.
