A member has contacted me for one of my referral links. Sent it & trying to initiate the trade. Go to their profile page & click on initiate a trade wth user. Just click it once & goes to
Failed. This can happen for several reasons
- You tried to initiate a trade with yourself
- You included a link in the subject (add it later in the "notes" field)
- Your subject was too short. Make it meaningful.

Anyone else have this problem?

Have you tried everything in the sticky titled "POST ALL TRADE MODULE QUESTIONS HERE"? Or used the search function and searched for something like "You tried to initiate a trade with yourself " (searching for All Terms).

The reason nobody answered is because it's been answered here before quite a few times.

The problem doesn't have anything to do with how new you are (although you shouldn't be trading with people <4TR if you are also <4TR).

The problem is due to IE7's increased Javascript security model. As noted in the zillion other threads that have asked this, you either add FiPG's URL to your trusted sites list, or just bump your browser security level from High to Medium (where it was with IE6 and earlier).
