Something wrong with the forums?

Is there?
I will read a thread, hit Off-Topic, or wherever I'm in again, and the little flag will still be red. I click in it again, but there's nothing new.
When I log out and log back in, all the ones that were still red are gone, but if there are new posts in a thread that I HAVEN'T seen, the flag will not be red.
Is it just my computer or is there a bit of a glitch?

The only thing wrong is you forcing an old woman to cram into a TV while you pump her full of manj00ce.

Sounds like your browser (or your internet provider's caching proxy) is probably caching the unread/read icons. Nobody else has reported a similar problem. although I've often seen phpBB drop sessions or do other quirky things with regards to read/unread flags.
If you see it happen again, force a refresh (Ctrl-F5 on IE, Ctrl-Shift-R on Firefox, or Ctrl-Click the Refresh button). See if the icons change then. If so, it was a caching issue.

yeah man, it's not that though. Each individual thread I click on does the same thing. Like if I go back to this one now, it will still have a red flag, but I will still be the last person to post.

No, D-Mo, none of that worked............. Do you have any other ideas? It's driving me nuts. I'm not even sure that I'm seeing all the new posts b/c in one thread, J4 said something about posting in another thread a few minutes ago, and that never got bumped for me. Also, the only Off-Topic that got any posts today was "okay it's story time" and I find that hard to believe........
Thanks in advance if you can help me out at all, you know I appreciate it D

The forum wouldn't deliver just some of the new posts, and not others. Sounds like something funky on your end, FIPG seems fine to me.

yeah you're right. It's something with Mozilla. I jumped on IE and it's working fine. Guess I should have tried that in the first place, but in any event, what on Firefox could be causing that?
Should I reinstall it? Or could I be missing a new update or something?
I'm computer-retarded.

Dunno.. Like dmo said, it sounds like it's a caching issue. You could try setting it to not cache images at all.

Yeah see, I have no idea what any of that means. What does "caching images" mean? Does it temporarily store images sort of like a cookie or something? How do you set that?
God, I'm asking a lot of questions...........................

Oh I see. That's happened to me a couple times before also. I think once I restarted the browser it went back to normal.
