how do you know when you have to pay paypal fees to receive money?

hi
i do two things
first i look at the ebay free schedule

then, I email the site owner and ask how they pay their clients

add those two up and see if u have to pay fees when u get the money )

It depends on how the person sends the money. If they fund it from their paypal balance or use some mass pay then you have no fees. If they fund it with a credit card then you have fees. I'm not sure if you have fees if they fund it with their bank account.

if you have a premier or business account you will have fees if they send it any way but mass pay (which i user btw ;))

on anything large, masspay is the way to go if you can talk someone through it.

I have a business
changed it over a year ago
at that time I read in the rules that they just charge for creditcard payments

but the fees have gone up since then
who knows what elce has changed

Regardless of what account type you have, if the person pays you using a credit card then you will have to pay a fee.

If you have a personal account, you can NOT accept credit card payments without upgrading to a premier account.

With a premier or business account, you pay a fee unless they pay with masspay.

If they pay with their bank account, you have to wait for it to clear the bank, but the fee should be the same no matter what.

Actually you can accept a credit card payment if you have a personal account. You just have to pay a larger fee and you can only do it like 5 times in a year.
