I dont know, i dont think that the programs he would use would have anything to do with how much his IP will change. I wouldnt risk it.

If i were you i would tell him to start of small, maybe do one offer on a small network and not cash out from paypal until he passes approval, just to be safe. We dont want any MORE scammers on this site.

Using a public place is pretty risky too, if anyone else checks their account from there he could get put on hold.

It depends on the site/network -- some allow AOL, others don't. Check the TOS and/or submit a support ticket to ask.

The browser used has nothing to do with it.

Exactally - thank you David.

If you use AOL for your ISP it doesn't matter what browser you use, it's still AOL.

My daughter had AOL and the networks we found that were ok with AOL were

Trainn
V-bux
Officially4Free
123StuffForFree

There may be others, but most of them specifically forbid AOL in their TOS.

There are many more sites that accept AOL. I have netscape, and that uses AOL portals, and I have had only one site put me on hold for it (That's how I found out about it. (Silly me!) Check the TOS, put in support tickets...It is the only way sometimes, to find out.

phones.ZPT put me on hold for it. It said that I was using a duplicate IP as others on the site. When I asked support about it, it told me that my IP was an AOL ip through its portal, and it was from Washington DC. Well, I don't live anywhere near there, so I dug deeper and found Netscape uses AOL portals to get people on the internet.

I looked into ZeroPriceTags and checked all the other ZPT sites, and they all will not allow AOL or AOL portals, because they are, in the strictest sense, proxies. I asked if there was a way to fix it. There is not. so I am on permanent hold there, for no other reason than my ISP uses an AOL portal. Go figure.

I don't allow AOL, being a new site, the possible losses from Proxy scammers is too hard to recover from.
