I need some help with this. I have read the tutorial for setting a trade up and every time I click on the initiate trade link I get the following

[quote8e18597dc1]Failed. This can happen for several reasons
- You tried to initiate a trade with yourself
- You included a link in the subject (add it later in the "notes" field)
- Your subject was too short. Make it meaningful.

What am I supposed to do?

I had the same problem it was Internet Explorer 7!
if you have that that is the problem

what you can do is download firefox and install that right one your computer with IE7, they can run side by side!

just use firefox for doing you link editing then use IE7 for your doing greens so you do not have a problem!

If I have helped you maybe you could toss a little Karma my way?

I see a lot of people that promote Firefox to circumvent a problem with trading, when it is just a simple matter of configuration that solves the problem. I am not against Firefox. In fact, my wife uses it instead of Internet Explorer. I use IE7 exclusively and have not had a problem with any facet of the trading experience.

Other than the normal advice to clear cookies, turn off popup blockers, etc, you may want to set your security for the Internet Zone to medium, THEN click custom level, and make sure that you allow scripted windows, and allow windows with no size or position constraints. Doing this will allow you to do all of your trading things from IE7. Just remember to clear your cookies and restart the browser before doing any site for offers
