well, why don't you ask her to get verified??
and usually i don't send payments to unverified paypal accounts, unless they passed approval.

if she doesn't scam you there really isnt' a problem. If she does it may help you get your money back but it's not a guarantee.

The issue with asking people to verify their PayPal is that it takes a bank account and/or credit card and several days.
Does anyone know the actual risks of sending money to someone who is unverified??

If they scam you then you can't get your money back.
If they are verified then you can have a chance of getting your money back.

yah, but last I heard, it was difficult, if not impossible, to get PayPal to reverse payment for a trade like this anyway.
But it is probably better to be verified.

You are right, but there is 0% chance if you are not verified
i would think that if u did not ask her if she was verified before the trade, u cannot hold her money if she went green. u can ask her to get verified but if she refuses then u are screwed. talk to her, see what happens

Well you can look at it this way all the scammers I have seen caught were all verified. When I first started I wasnt and it took me 5 days to get verified. you guys still paid me and all worked out well. (Fred)

I just want to say that it's true it's better to be verified but some people just don't have that option. Like myself, for instance..The card I used to get started with this, and to do offers is an EFundsCard from Chase bank that is used soley for payroll. It's a VisaDebit, so it works the same, but it's not linked to a bank account, and I don't have an "actual" bank account, therefore I can't get verified for another couple months until I can apply for the Paypal debit card. I would just familiarize yourself with anyone who isn't verified, and if they say they can't get verified, just ask why! Some (like myself), have a very reasonable explanation. Here's hoping you don't get scammed!! Have a good one )

Another way to protect yourself in the future is to add in your trading post that people who are not paypal verified will need to wait until they do get verified or for approval to get paid.
As another poster stated, they may not be able to, and getting to know them, their trade record and feedback will help you decide whether or not you are comfortable making the trade.
I do have a bank, and was verified in seconds by paypal, but even if someone does have a bank account it may depend upon the bank and the amount of traffic at paypal at the time you request verification for it to go through.
Hope I helped a little wink
