Greetings all,
Is it ok that people are sending links to their referal pages in PM's or should they be using the Trade Module / Initiate Trade? Personally I find the Module very helpful.
Thank you for your feedback.
Peace

Links in PMs are allowed. But it is recommended that all trades be done through the trade module. If a trade is not done in the trade module you will not recieve TR and it is harder for mods to interveine in the case of a dispute.

Yeah...def go with the trade module...you don't have as much recourse if something goes wrong in a trade

somtimes we put the link in a pm so you can go to the site (without signing up) to have a look at the offers. This saves alot of time and folks asking to delete a trade becaules they cant find an offer they can do. After viewing the offers then set up a trade in the modual (Fred)

Thank you Gator; that was helpful info. Who should set it up in the module?
Do I advise the person I have checked out the site and they set it up?
So far all my offers have been set up for me.
Thanks Melinda

Either trader can set up the trade, then the other trader has to click "confirm". You should use the status dropbox to keep your status updated once the trade has begun.

Yah, i once had a trade for a week befor i realized i had to accept it...heh heh heh. Well actually like a few days, but now i always make sure to tell the other party to go ahead and accept as soon as they can.
