Recently, I tried to do a trade with another member. I signed up for 2 offers at half a credit each at Paypal2dollardeal, which I thought would make me go green. But one offer was not credited, despite my credit request, which is still pending.

Then the other guy told me that he has already found enough referrals and doesn't need me anymore.

Then he says we should set up a trade in the module where we can ask for TR just based on my 1/ credit.

Questions

Can I get TR for just a 1/2 credit?

Can the other guy get TR for paying nothing?

I'm just trying to make sure I'm playing by the rules here.

No. He should have initiated the trade BEFORE you signed up, that'S why its important to read the rules b4 hand.
Now, he should have waited till you'Re green b4 searching for someone esle, at least if he didn,t specify in how much time he wants the green. Then when you get the other half he is bounded to pay you...especially if you have a trade.

And i don'T see why he should get tr? only i think he's offering that as a compensation method for you, cause you get your tr up - if he or she is 4+

that's my opinion...

Is it OK to PM mods or admins directly with questions like this?

Sounds to me like he is trying to get TR. That is a problem and a mod should be told about it.

A. [b9bfa2081fa]NEVER NEVER[/b9bfa2081fa] do a trade that is not in the Trade Module. I know at this point that doesn't help here, but life is a learning experience.

B. No, you should not let him get a TR for paying you nothing and breaking the rules. He should know better than trading outside the Trade Module.

C. Ordinarily, if you have agreed to a trade, whatever is spelled out in the trade details on the Module sticks, even if he decides he doesn't need you any more.

In my opinion, he at least owes you for the cost of the offers you did, but I don't see that you have any way to enforce it. Maybe if you tell him you will PM a moderator, and if that doesn't take care of it, tell him you will post with his username........ but be careful. You have to decide if it's worth the effort.

Trading outside the trade module will NEVER earn TR. The TM is there for a reason, and if you don't use it, your trade will not be acknowledged or supported by the staff of FiPG.

Creating a bogus trade in the TM to earn TR will earn both of you a ban from the TM at least, if not a ban from the entire forum.

It's not a bogus trade. I did complete a half credit. My question is whether it's OK to ask for TR for that. Judging by what people wrote, the answer is that I should have done the whole trade in the TM so this issue doesn't arise in the first place.

This was my very first trade and I have done every trade inside the trade module since. I have gone green for 4 other people, holding up my end of the bargain, and I'm working on a 5th.

I can see that I should have used the TM from the very beginning. I think I will simply ask a mod to reverse the TR for both of us. Then I can complete the credit on my own and recoup my losses by getting the cash payout (which, of course, will require some referrals).
