Just to those this hasen't happend to yet, Prepaid credit cards are the way to go, as long as you keep enought money on the card just to pay for what you need, your safe, no one can over charge your card, It's worked great for me for the past year, and with Netspend you can keep up to 3 diffrent accounts, that's 3 diffrent cards, with 3 diffrent card numbers, I only use one for this program, and transfer the money needed to that card whenever its needed, and when it's not, a $0 ballance is all there is, they can't take $0 out can they ! ? idea ..... plus I know that Netspend does really great on disputes, one time I left some money on one of my cards, some company charged around $20 on it, i called up, all they had to do was fax me this paper to sign, I faxed it back, and within 3 days I had that money right back on my card.... they even sent me a letter in the mail around a month latter letting me know how sorry they where that it had hapened to me.....

Plus if you mention this REFERRAL CODE [MOD EDIT] And I'm sure you just posted this to help the other users out roll

I looked at that a little bit but all the fees confused me a little. They are a bunch of different fees for different things.

Card Fulfillment (includes shipping and handling) $9.95
Card Fulfillment (Shipping & Handling) Up to $19.95

30-day FeeAdvantage Plan (Unlimited signature and PIN purchase transactions; ATM fees still apply.) $9.95
Recurring Monthly FeeAdvantage Plan (Unlimited signature and PIN purchase transactions; ATM fees still apply.) $9.95/month
Annual FeeAdvantage Plan (Unlimited signature and PIN purchase transactions; ATM fees still apply.) $69.95

Like do I have to do all that? I signed up for the NetSpend but I dont' really care about having an actual card. And stuff. I'd like to put some money into the account but I don't wanna start getting charged for all this stuff I dont' understand. I actually continued all the way through thinking somwhere it would explain it a little more. But it didn't.

I guess I dont' have to join the feeadvantage but what are the real costs associated with this account. All this different stuff is kinda confusing me.

Is it $10 or $20? And as long as I only use it on the internet I dont' have to pay for a signature or pin purchase right?

[quote7a5ce78730="krayf"]there is a $1.00 transaction fee for each signature-based purchase that you make with your All-Access..

Is that correct? So if you charged 10 different purchases it will cost $10 extra?[/quote7a5ce78730]

So you are having trouble with figuring out how this works? Like I can't get the fees really straghtened out in my head.

but that is what I'm thinking, except for an online based purchase. Or something like McDonalds when you don't need to sign.

Stuey...... I did the exact same thing...... now I think I may have a card shipped to my house and am going to have to pay something for it? I don't understand the charges either.

I just want to get a card for online transactions.....

Yeah I think I'm having a card shipped to my house also. I'm just not gonna put anymoney in it till after I get some information. If there isn't money then I wont' get charged. Unless they are gonna like send me a bill or something.

Man I wish ntfireballs would come and clear this all up. Or somebody else that uses this.

I dont' really want a card. I just want to use in in the interent. I'll pay $10 to get it all set up. But I dont' want to be paying for all the transactions and all this other stuff that they have as fees that are all different depending on where you look at it on the site.

It really bothers me how in one place the fee for the card is $10 and in another it is $20??

I think that $20 is the right amount. I don't think I want to pay that much. But it's not too bad if I can use it for that price with free relaods for 3 years.

Hi,
I used to work for NetSpend about 5 years ago. When they first started they had what was called a virtual credit card. Was more for online purchases. because of Homeland Secutity they can't do that anymore. so now they offer a prepaid debit card. you will get a card. There are fees associated. This card is meant more for people who cannot get a regular credit card. You are better off with PayPal or getting maybe a Capital One Card with a small limit.

You guys that are worrying about charges... don't I have had the card for about a year now, this is what you do, sign up for the monthly fee of $9.99, they ask you what day you want to take the money out of your account, set it for a day you can remember...... I did the 18th for example, so every month they try to take out the $9.99, like I said before, if you keep a $0.00 ballance then they cant take the money, out, I've been doing this for about a year, and have payed for the card maybe 2 months out of the year....... belive me it works...... any more questions just pm me, I'll answer what I can... and I'm speaking from experiance. It's really simple, not to get charges, just only keep money on the card when you need it.

the card is just $9.99 including shipping ( in the terms and conditions and speaks of up to $19.99, but I signed up from the net and it was jut $9.99.

For those that would like to add $2 to there account, I have a REFERRAL CODE, just pm me. and I'll pm it back

I had the netspend reloadable prepaid card, it worked really well but I cancelled it when I had stopped doing offers... One time I did a casino offer and had a couple of 410 random charges on the card, I called customer service and they quickly handled the charges....

Overall it's a good card and the fees go something like this...

$9.95 activation fee
$1.00 fee for each authorized use

And the monthly fee waived if you use the card at least once a month...

Those are the only fees I concerned myself with, I never had the thought of withdrawing cash from the ATM or having my paycheck deposited into it, the card was only for offers....

However, like most prepaid and reloadable cards I don't know how they feel about monthly suscriptions of charges taking place and I didn't want to risk a company trying to push the issue to them that I owe them X______ of money so I cancelled the card and stopped doing offers.....

If you're serious about no using your credit card then go for it but remember that there isn't a guarentee that a charge might get your balance in the red and netspend cancels your card and sends you a bill for the amount you owe them....
