hey - if you don't use your personal credit cards for the offers, what does everyone out there use?

You can get a virtual credit card from Paypal, or use a gift Visa. There might be other ways, but those two are pretty popular and reliable imo.

The virtual card works the same way as a regular card, and takes funds from your paypal account. The Paypal debit card also works, I believe.

Just a heads-up, you can probably save yourself some time by using the Search function at the top of the page. Narrow it down to what forum you want to search (most likely "Help") in this instance, and search for your keywords.

The same topics have often been discussed several times over, so people tend to get weary of answering them over and over. You'll also find that you get a better answer by reading through a whole thread that way, rather than starting a new one and waiting for responses.

I use my PayPal debit card for just about all of my trading, and so far it has worked well. My suggestion to you is DO NOT back your debit card up with a bank account or credit card........ That way if your number is compromised, they can't get more than your PayPal balance (which I intentionally keep low).

How long did it take to get your debit card? And do you have to choose a backup account link?

I believe you have to have had your PayPal account at least 90 days, and no, they did not require a backup account. The card took about 10 days to come.

My PayPal [bcdd2ccb395]account[/bcdd2ccb395] is verified (and backed up with my bank account).

My PayPal [bcdd2ccb395]debit card [/bcdd2ccb395]is not backed up with anything, so it will only draw from my PayPal balance.

There is a difference.

From what I've heard, PayPal's new virtual card is doing well. It generates a new number for each transaction, so if someone tries to use the number fraudulently, it doesn't work.

If you go to PayPal, click Security Center, then scroll down to "free tools", the virtual card is on the next page. I was going to put in a link, but it is requiring me to be logged in, so I don't think the link would work. But the link to the Security Center is https//www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_security-center-outside[]https//www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_security-center-outside .

Hope this is helpful.

On www.simongiftcard.com you can buy an online giftaccount, they usually email it to you in a day or so. You could also buy a plastic giftcard, but I find the giftaccount more convenient. They do however charge a $2.75 service fee (
